This extension has not been updated in over 2 years. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues.

Similar to aclinfo, groupusers

Tagged with acl, groups, listing, users

This plugin shows which groups exist, what their namespace and page permissions are and which users are in which groups. Additionally, it shows the namespace and page permissions for each user - derived from the groups the user is in.

I have only tested this plugin with the file-based ACL.

Installation

Plugin sources: zip format (KB), tar.gz format (KB),

The zip & tar.gz format packages maybe installed using the plugin manager.

To install manually, download the source to your plugin folder, lib/plugins and extract its contents. That will create a new plugin folder, lib/plugins/permissioninfo; this is all is needed to install the plugin.

Known Issues

  • Doesn't work correctly with LDAP permissions (see below)
  • Doesn't show anything when no user- or group specific rule was set (standard DokuWiki installation)

Comments/Discussion

script.js is either not being included or broken. — ab® 2007-10-21 10:19

Works for me. Have you cleaned the JavaScript cache by calling http://your-dokuwiki-url/lib/exe/js.php?purge=TRUE ? What browser do you use? — gbirke 2007-10-30 22:23

seems like it would show up LDAP groups but it doesn't show the permissions set using them… I'd really like to use this plugin, but as long as it doesn't work correctly when using LDAP auth it's useless to me :(

It would be neat if you could use this plugin to *add* users to groups, or even create groups. Right now, you can add users to groups through the standard usermanager, but if you want to add a lot of users to any one group, scrolling through each user and adding them manually can be annoying. It would be nice if you select a group, and then bulk add users to it. :)

It doesn't work for me. I run a file-based DokuWiki with 20+ users and a quite sophisticated ACL. Most of the permissions are displayed wrong :-( Unfortunately I'm not allowed to describe permissions and the namespace structure to provide you with more feedback to fix the problem. Anyway, I guess that the plugin requires more work. When done it would be a very USEFUL tool, FIXME Igor

Works fine for me. I would prefer to have all data displayed per default instead of having to active various “show”s. Thanks anyway! Bernd, April 16, 2008; 15:30
