Per ĉi tiu “kromprogramo”¹⁾ vi povas tajpi la ĉapelitajn literojn en iu ajn tekstokampo laŭ la “X-kodo”. Tajpu X-on post C, G, H, J, S aŭ U por akiri ĉapelitan literon. Tajpu alian X-on por malkonverti la literon, tio estas, por akiri la literon sekvatan de X.

Kiam tekstokampo estas fokusita la unuan fojon, modala dialogo aperas kun instrukcio. Vidu la ekrankopion supre.

Klako sur “Mi komprenis, ne montru tion denove” kreas kuketon kaj la mesaĝo ne aperos dum unu jaro. Klako sur “Rememoru min poste” fermas la dialogon, sed ĝi reaperos kiam alia paĝo estos ŝargita.

With this “plugin”²⁾ you can type the Esperanto-specific letters in any text field with “X-code”. Type an X after C, G, H, J, S or U to get a letter with diacritic. Type another X to unconvert the letter, that is, to get the letter followed by an X.

The Esperanto alphabet does not use X, so the “X-code” is a simple way to overcome keyboard limitations.

By the way, “ikso” is the name of X in Esperanto.

When a text field get focus for the very first time, a modal dialog appears with instructions in Esperanto. See the screenshot above.

A click on “Mi komprenis, ne montru tion denove” (“I understand, don't show that again”) sets a cookie and the message will not be shown for one year. A click on “Rememoru min poste” (“Remember me later”) closes the dialog, but it will appear again when another page is loaded.
