To Install dokuwiki software with ACL on CENTOS 7.

What needs to be done:

Follow the below link for installation:


  • Also check the requirements for install if following this procedure.

Note: Does every thing at one go, This would be your preference.


  • Make sure that you have all the requirements for performing install as mentioned.
  • Before installing make sure that you update the packages and repository.
  • Install Apache(httpd) and PHP.
  • We need to enable Mod_rewrite in Apache web server by editing the httpd.conf file.
  • Then start the Apache web server and enable it to start at boot time.
  • Download the latest dokuwiki installer archive extract it.
  • Make sure that you extract the archive to /var/www/html/.
  • Now edit the file at /etc/httpd/conf.d appropriately as mentioned in the link.
  • Make sure that you replace with at each and every place. Even change the file name to
  • Save the file and restart your Apache server.
  • provide the ownership of the application to the web server user.
  • Allow HTTP traffic on port 80 through the firewall.
  • Make sure that you completely disable SELinux.
  • Now you are all set to go!!!

Configure Install:

  • Enter your Wiki website name.
  • Select the Enable ACL checkbox and provide the administrator credentials.
  • Choose the ACL policy recommended is Public Wiki. We can change as per our requirements.
  • Choose the license that we want to use with our content.
  • Now we need to delete the install.php file now.


  • Using this Documentation we installed Dokuwiki on CentOS 7.
  • Now we can log in to our wiki using administrator credentials and add the content in it.
