I have used many wiki’s for documentation when working in IT at every company I have been employed with.
Now that I work for myself as an IT Consultant, I use DokuWiki to document my clients details like contacts, network setup, usernames and passwords, etc.
It’s handy to be able to log into my server and get all the details I need without hassling the customer for the 1642nd time what their password to their ADSL Modem is.
I’m also thinking, as CrisOs, to use it for personal life around my house too.

I like to use DokuWiki for it’s simple syntax and powerful, this fantastic wiki engine allow you to build up a complete web site in a bit.
I use it on CrisOs and my personal home page.

GiardiWiki is the first Italian Wiki about horticulture, supported by the Compagnia del Giardinaggio (“The Fellowship of the Garden”…) gardening forum.

We hacked the tag plugin to implement a Plant Finder based on plants features.

The personal website of Fabio Pugliese Ornellas uses DokuWiki as the engine to provide content, both open and closed.

We have been using DokuWiki for a while now and are very enthusiastic. It allows us to collaborate on projects data so easily. We’re very thankful to the development community and the author!

Napoli Wireless is an Italian site that aims to enable any people to build their own (long distance) wireless network, using inexpensive hardware and antennas. The site is an (almost) completely open wiki, where also anonymous people can contribute.
