Graphy by Takao Utsumi has a simple but elegant design with lots of generous space and nice typography.

Features:

• a top menu which can include sub items
• can have a sidebar, although having no sidebar accentuates the simplicity nicely
• search form slides into view after clicking the search icon
• DokuWiki tools would appear in the footer

Writr by Automattic has a bold and modern look.

Features:

• a sidebar
• a separate menu (within the sidebar) which can include sub items
• various colour schemes (turquoise, blue, green, grey, purple, red)
• a background image can be added to the right-hand side space
• DokuWiki tools would appear in the sidebar, although we might move the page tools into the black strip in the middle

The first one shows a version in the turquoise colour scheme and without a background image, the second shows the mobile view of the template and the third shows a narrower version with a blue colour scheme and a background image. Spacious by ThemeGrill has a more classical look which is closest to DokuWiki's default template.

Features:

• a top menu which can include sub items
• a sidebar (left or right)
• layout options “boxed” or “wide”
• can have a header image
• can have a background image
• DokuWiki tools could either appear in the sidebar or the footer or the header (still needs to be decided)
