+I'm looking into this and I'm not sure which functions would be used by Dokuwiki and which functions would be more useful in a plugin.  I would guess there need to be maintenance functions: create btree, empty btree, fix btree, delete btree. And data functions: add name&value, edit name&value, delete name. And probably most importantly find name.  Since a b-tree may not actually be the fastest search and php might have one built in or something as this last post is nearly 5 years old, is someone able to give an update?
