Plugin - Media Manager

This plugin is intended to provide document management capabilities to DokuWiki. Essentially it rides on top of the regular media capabilities of DokuWiki, but with a much friendlier interface and some more usability. Users can browse and download the media directory, upload files, create directories, and lock files to indicate that they are being modified and that nobody else can upload over them.

1. Unzip the plugin and put it in your plugins folder of your wiki
2. To use the plugin, on any page just enter the code:

{{media}}

It's that easy!

It's a pretty plugin.
A proposal … to use this plugin not as syntax plugin but as admin plugin.
So the superuser have a good view over the media file folders and can delete folders and duplicated files. I think it's also possible to use such a similar plugin for the namespaces to delete empty folders/namespaces without to connect to the server over CLI. — Anja Vag 2006-07-07 13:02

Multifile Upload
Be nice to have a way to upload a bunch of files at once. In this case, the file names would be used as is, and the “replace existing” option would apply to all. — Peter Barnes 2006-07-19 23:31

The recent DokuWiki versions come with a much improved mediamanager, which should make this plugin mostly obsolete. — Andreas Gohr 2006-10-03 18:15

What would be cool: have the media manager available in the admin panel, as proposed in the first comment, to be able to view and manage medias without the need to edit a page.
